I’ve been using date sugar to replace white sugar for a few years now. I find the consistency of Liva to be far superior to others I have tried- it behaves like sugar, but the flavour is more complex and rich while also slowing so much more nutritious! it does not spike my glycemic levels, but still provides a warm sweetness. So happy this is available/ I just wish I could purchase it in the larger grocery stores in Canada.
I use Liva date sugar to make hot chocolate, and its just terrific.........mix ~tablespoon of date sugar with ~teaspoon of chocolate powder in your cup, mix thoroughly while water is heating, add one-half cup boiling water or more, mix vigorously then add milk as required/desired.

This is really gorgeous date sugar - it's super finely milled and blends into recipes very smoothly. I've used it as a substitute for white sugar at a 1:1 ratio in all manner of baking (pizzelles, a chocolate cake, an apple cake, and a blueberry pie) and it's worked fantastically in all of them.
